Senegalese player Marème Babou extends her stay with RC Strasbourg

Racing Club de Strasbourg has officially announced the contract extension of Marème Babou, the Senegalese left-back, for the upcoming season in Arkema D1. She will continue to play at La Meinau after proving her worth in her debut campaign.

Arriving in October 2024, Marème Babou got her first taste of European football, making her debut in France's top division. Gradually, the 21-year-old defender established herself as a key figure in Strasbourg’s back line. During the 2024‑25 season, Babou featured 14 times in league play.

Though she didn’t register any goals or assists, her contributions were crucial to the team’s defensive solidity, whether deployed at full-back or in the heart of defense. This consistent form has undoubtedly earned her a new contract, allowing her to embark on a second consecutive campaign in the Arkema Première Ligue.
