Serge Obassa extends his stay with Remo Stars

Arriving quietly from AS Cotonou a year ago, Serge Obassa has established himself as a reliable force between the posts for Remo Stars. Now, his journey with the Nigerian club is set to continue.

Linked with moves to Tanzania, South Africa, and even Rwanda, the Beninese goalkeeper has ultimately chosen stability. According to Foot Africa, the management of the Nigerian club has already reached an agreement with the former Buffles du Borgou shot-stopper for a new two-year contract.

Joining last season, Serge Marcel Adeniyi Obassa quickly won over Remo Stars... and Nigeria. With 15 clean sheets in 28 league matches, he was named best goalkeeper and played a crucial role in securing the national title. Determined to defend his crown and shine in the CAF Champions League, Remo Stars are reaffirming their faith in one of their most decisive players. The official announcement is expected in the coming days.
