Serhou Guirassy has climbed to the top spot among African goal scorers in Europe. The Guinean forward for Borussia Dortmund added to his goal tally during the second matchday of the Club World Cup against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Guinean made a huge impact this Saturday, June 21, as Dortmund edged Sundowns 4-3 in the Club World Cup. Scoring the second goal for his club in the 34th minute of the first half, he played a pivotal role in the win, which now puts Dortmund on 4 points. Above all, this goal allows Serhou Guirassy to surpass Mohamed Salah in the African rankings.

A dream season continues for Serhou Guirassy

While the Egyptian finished his season with Liverpool on 34 goals, the 29-year-old striker keeps adding to his tally in the black and yellow jersey. This season, the Arles native has been simply unstoppable. In the Bundesliga, he netted 21 goals, finishing as runner-up in the Golden Boot race behind Harry Kane.
