Sofiane Rahimi Vows to Make Al Ain Proud at 2025 Club World Cup
Moroccan forward Soufiane Rahimi expressed immense pride at representing Al Ain FC in the upcoming 2025 FIFA Club World cup calling the opportunity "historic honour"
"Playing the World’s Best Is Great Responsibility"
Rahimi one of Al Ain’s key stars shared his emotions after the club officially secured its place among football's global elite in the expanded 32 team tournament, to be held in the U.S from 15 Jun to 13 Jul 2025.
"Wearing the Al Ain jersey at this stage is massive responsibility and great honour. We’re proud to stand among the biggest clubs in the world" said Rahimi.
No Room for Stars, Only for Unity
When asked about the pressure Rahimi emphasized the collective nature of the squad:
"We don’t believe in individual stardom our strength lies in unity. We play as one family and everyone who wears this shirt carries the same duty"
The Moroccan international added that every player not just him, must contribute:
"It’s not just about Sofiane. Every player must prove they belong in the starting eleven"
Facing Giants: Man City, Juventus and Wydad
Regarding Al Ain’s challenging group which includes Man City, Juventus and Wydad AC, Rahimi remained defiant:
"Some say the group is tough but at Al Ain, we don’t believe in the impossible. These matches make champions and reveal true character".
