The Ordinary General Assembly (OGA) of Feguifoot was held this Thursday, May 8, 2025, in the Guinean capital, with representatives from FIFA, CAF, the Ministry of Sports, and the Guinean National Olympic Committee in attendance. Of the 53 statutory members present, 51 voted in favor of removing Aboubacar Dinah Sampil, thus ending his term which began in January 2024.

This decision follows a provisional suspension made on April 8, 2025, by the members of the Executive Committee of the Guinean Football Federation. In the aftermath, Sory Doumbouya, the oldest vice president and president of Milo FC de Kankan, was elected to lead Feguifoot until the end of the current term.

Sory Doumbouya inherits a federation in the midst of transformation, facing significant challenges, notably improving infrastructure, developing young talent, and boosting the competitiveness of national teams. The new president is now tasked with restoring stability within the organization and reassuring all stakeholders in Guinean football.
