Lamine Yamal is gradually ramping up his game at this 2026 World Cup.

However, many Spanish media outlets believe they detect a sense of "anxiety" in the FC Barcelona prodigy. Ahead of tomorrow's semi-final against France, his teammate Unai Simon doesn't share that view.

“Anxiety in Lamine? No, I don't see that, because he keeps doing the same things. He understands football really well. Of course, we'd all love him to score six goals, but I prefer the Lamine we see today, who tracks back, who sacrifices for the team. He's a role model for the squad. We all see Lamine running and think: 'If Lamine's running, how could I not run too?' He's a leader out on the pitch," explained the last line of defense in an interview with the show El Partidazo de Cope.
