Storm hits Catalonia: major damage at Barça's training center

FC Barcelona experienced a turbulent day as they prepared to travel to Madrid for the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Atlético. With Catalonia battered by a violent windstorm, local authorities issued warnings, urging residents to stay indoors and limit travel due to the risks posed by fierce gusts and heavy rain.

In this context, Barça decided to move up their departure to avoid any logistical complications. However, the severe weather also struck the club at home, hitting their training center hard.

According to RAC1, a wall and part of the fence at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper were brought down by the forceful winds. No injuries have been reported, but teams have already been deployed to secure the area and assess the extent of the damage. It's an unusual warning sign for a Barça side already under pressure ahead of a crucial encounter.
