Reliable media sources have revealed that the coach of Sudan's national football team, Ghanaian James Kwasi Appiah (64 years old), will arrive tomorrow, Sunday, in Taif, Saudi Arabia, to take charge of the training sessions for the "Jedian Falcons" ahead of the decisive matches against Senegal and South Sudan, scheduled for March 22 and 25, as part of the fifth and sixth rounds of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Appiah's technical staff, composed of Ghanaians Kofi, assistant coach, and Eric, goalkeeper coach, joined the team on Thursday, March 6. They were warmly welcomed by the Sudanese team's administrative director, Abu Bakr Al-Mahi, who facilitated their swift entry into Saudi Arabia.

Appiah: "Sudan can beat Senegal with a little financial motivation."

In an exclusive interview with the media platform "Win Win", the Ghanaian coach discussed his financial situation with the Sudanese Federation and shared his expectations before the match against Senegal.

Regarding the salary arrears, Kwasi Appiah clarified: "I have no dispute with the Federation, but I simply requested the settlement of overdue salaries. I will leave tomorrow, Sunday, March 9, for Taif to prepare for our match against Senegal."

Furthermore, the "Jedian Falcons" coach asked the Sudanese Federation to grant bonuses to the players to motivate them before the encounter with Senegal. He explained: "I am currently focused on our match against Senegal. They are a formidable team, but they are among the best on the continent. However, we have also proven our worth. Today, the Sudanese team is recognized among the best, and we have already achieved some of our goals by qualifying for the final stages of the AFCON and CHAN. We aim to accomplish even more."

Appiah added: "I believe financial bonuses would be an excellent way to motivate our players, as they have done remarkable work. This will allow us to approach the match against Senegal with even more determination. A victory would significantly boost our qualification chances."

He concluded: "I have worked diligently and put all my experience at the service of the team. I know the Sudanese people have a special affection for me, and I reciprocate it. I am committed to continuing to fight to achieve all our goals, having clearly defined our ambitions."
