Tanzania: TRA United SC part ways with Etienne Ndayiragije after five games without a win

Etienne Ndayiragije is no longer the head coach of TRA United SC. The Burundian coach and the Tanzanian club have mutually agreed to end their partnership, effective Monday, September 7, 2026.

In its statement, TRA United SC thanked Ndayiragije for his contribution, professionalism and service to the club during his time with the team. The club also wished him every success in the next chapter of his coaching career.

A difficult start to the season

The decision comes as TRA United SC has endured a difficult start to the season. After five league matches, the club has collected just three points and is still without a win. Its record stands at three draws and two defeats.

The club said the decision to end the partnership was reached by mutual agreement with the coach. At the same time, TRA United SC’s results since the start of the season have left the team in a difficult position.

Successor to be announced soon

TRA United SC said it will announce the identity of the person who will take charge of the first team for the 2026-2027 season at a later date.

The club added that it will continue to keep its members, supporters and stakeholders informed about further decisions regarding the team’s coaching staff.
