Ex-Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze extends unbeaten run
Former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze saw his Kagera Sugar side play to a one-all draw with Polisi Tanzania FC in the NBC Tanzania Premier League.
In what was a battle of newly promoted teams, Kagera Sugar broke the deadlock in the 75th minute, thanks to Nyenyezi Shaban.
Kaze's men, however, were unable to see out the remainder of the match as they surrendered their lead deep in stoppage time, settling for a stalemate.
The draw meant Kagera Sugar remain stagnant in 14th place with six points accumulated from their first eight matches of the 2026/27 campaign.
Notably, the Burundian mentor is unbeaten since taking over the reins last month, guiding the club to their first win on his debut before the draw.
He was appointed after parting ways with Betway Premiership outfit Sekhukhune United following an internal rift with the Babina Noko hierarchy.
Kaze oversaw seven matches in charge of the Limpopo club, winning four games, while losing the other three encounters.
With his new team set to return to action with a clash against JKT Tanzania, the CAF A License holder will be looking to maintain his unbeaten run.
