Tariq Lamptey extends his stay at Brighton

Tariq Lamptey is set to remain at Brighton. The Seagulls have officially announced the contract extension of the Ghanaian right-back for one more season.

Despite a season hampered by injuries, Tariq Lamptey made his presence felt every time he stepped onto the pitch: three goals in 20 appearances, all while showcasing his trademark relentless energy down the flank. Since joining from Chelsea in 2020, the Ghana international has established himself as a dynamic figure within the Brighton squad.

This contract extension is also a bet on continuity. Brighton are counting on a fully fit Lamptey for the coming season, in a league that is becoming ever more demanding. The goal is clear: regain his best form and once again become a key figure down the right flank.
