The next coach of Burkina Faso Stallions: Charles Kaboré comments
Former international star and legendary captain of the Burkina Faso national team, Charles Kaboré, has spoken about the selection of the next coach for the Burkina Faso Stallions.
In an in-depth interview on national radio on Saturday, January 31, 2026, Charles Kaboré, sports ambassador, was asked about the qualities required in the next head coach of the Stallions.
The former Olympique de Marseille player stressed that the responsibility for the decision lies with the Burkina Faso Football Federation (FBF), emphasizing the need to take enough time to make the right choice.
He added: "In my opinion, the Stallions need a coach with a strong personality, someone who is not afraid to bench any player if necessary."
It is worth noting that after the Stallions' early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, following a 3-0 defeat to the Ivory Coast U23 team in the Round of 16, the Burkina Faso Football Federation terminated the contract of national coach Brama Traoré.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation continues its search for a new coach to lead the Stallions into the next phase.
