Everything comes down to Tuesday, August 4 at 8pm GMT in Group B of the 2026 Women's AFCON in Morocco. Heading into the final matchday, Côte d’Ivoire leads the group with 4 points. Burkina Faso and Tanzania are close behind with 3 points each, while South Africa sits at the bottom with 1 point. Only two teams will advance.

Burkina Faso vs South Africa: fight for survival or historic feat

Kick-off is set for 8:00pm GMT at Stade Moulay Rachid in Casablanca. This is the first-ever meeting between these two sides.

Backs against the wall, the Banyana Banyana—the 2022 champions—must win to keep their hopes alive. Defeated 1-2 by Tanzania and then held to a 2-2 draw by Côte d’Ivoire, they have no more lifelines left. However, they remain unbeaten in their final group stage match for the last seven tournaments.

On the other side, Burkina Faso are dreaming big. After a heavy 1-4 defeat to Côte d’Ivoire, the Stallions Women claimed their very first-ever final stage victory by beating Tanzania 2-1. Sitting second in the group, they could qualify for the quarter-finals for the first time in their history.

Tanzania vs Côte d’Ivoire: the ticket is up for grabs

Kick-off is also at 8:00pm GMT at Stade Larbi Zaouli. Tanzania and Côte d'Ivoire are also facing each other for the very first time.

Group leaders with 4 points, Côte d’Ivoire started their Women's AFCON campaign with a 4-1 win over Burkina Faso, followed by a 2-2 draw with South Africa. A draw is all they need to secure qualification.

Tanzania, third with 3 points, shocked the competition by beating South Africa before falling 2-1 to Burkina Faso. A win will send them to the quarter-finals.

Tanzania will only finish top if Burkina Faso fails to beat South Africa. A draw guarantees Côte d’Ivoire a spot and also sends Tanzania through if Burkina Faso loses. It's all or nothing tonight in Casablanca. Group B will deliver its verdict.
