The two players who impress Samuel Eto’o in 2025!
Present in Paraguay for the 75th FIFA Congress, Samuel Eto’o took advantage of a gala match held on the sidelines of the event to share his thoughts on current global football news, especially the upcoming Club World Cup scheduled from June 14 to July 13 in the United States.
The president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) first spoke optimistically about the chances of African teams:
“The level is very balanced today. I hope to see an African side reach the final, like TP Mazembe did in 2010 against my Inter Milan. That was a historic moment, despite the Congolese defeat.”
Yamal and Dembélé, the best in the world according to Eto’o!
When asked about the players currently impressing him, the legendary former Indomitable Lions striker didn’t hesitate to name two prodigies: the gifted Lamine Yamal from FC Barcelona and the brilliant Ousmane Dembélé, PSG’s star winger.
“Lamine is an exceptional boy, I hope he stays healthy so he can continue his development. Dembélé is simply phenomenal,” Eto’o said, who still considers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo the two benchmarks of world football.
