The United States wants to host the 2031 Women's World Cup
The United States Soccer Federation (US Soccer) has recently announced its future bid to host the 2031 Women's World Cup, in partnership with the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football.
Having hosted the 1999 and 2003 editions, the United States once again wishes to be the stage for the world's biggest women's football event. Initially candidates for the 2027 edition, the United States and Mexico withdrew their bid to focus on 2031.
The United States, four-time world champions (1991, 1999, 2015, 2019) in this competition, intends to capitalize on its world-class infrastructure and passion for the sport. According to L’Équipe and Le Figaro, the American bid will highlight modern stadiums, proven logistics, and an already dedicated women's football fanbase.
FIFA will officially announce the selection process in the coming months, and the host country for the 2031 Women's World Cup will be designated at the 76th Congress scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, local press reports.
