With the summer transfer window fast approaching, the name of Cameroonian international Bryan Mbeumo (25) is echoing louder and louder behind the scenes at some of Europe's biggest clubs.

This pacey winger, coming off a stellar season with Brentford, has established himself as one of the Premier League's most sought-after players, attracting serious interest from both Manchester United and Newcastle United.

According to sources close to the matter, including the transfer market-focused page (SullyTalkz ), both clubs have recently made contact with the French-born player and his agent to explore the possibility of a summer move.

This initial approach signals a genuine intent to move forward, but the main stumbling block remains the financial demands of the London club. Brentford, fully aware of their star's value, are demanding at least £50 million to even consider letting him go.

Thomas Frank sets a high bar for Mbeumo

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has made his stance crystal clear: the player will only leave the club if an exceptional offer is made.

In an interview with Danish newspaper Tipsbladet, he stated: "It is clear that if he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount. It is a lot. Mucho. Really a lot. Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one."

He added: "I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs are not interested in him. [...] How many wingers score 20 goals for a mid-table club?"

These remarks perfectly underline Mbeumo's crucial role in Brentford's system. This season, he has scored 20 goals and provided 7 assists in 42 matches, proving he is much more than just a winger—he is a genuine pillar and a decisive factor for his team.

It's worth noting that Bryan Mbeumo, a key figure for Cameroon's Indomitable Lions, is under contract with Brentford until June 2026, with an option for a further year extension.
