Thomas Müller's final words as a Bayern player
Thomas Müller

Thomas Müller played his last match for Bayern this Saturday. It was during the Club World Cup quarter-final against PSG. After the defeat, which meant elimination, the German player spoke for the last time as a Bayern Munich player.

After 15 years of loyal service in the Bayern Munich shirt, Thomas Müller bowed out on Saturday as his club was knocked out by PSG in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup (2-0). A bitter ending for the German international, who had hoped to leave with a 34th trophy for Bayern.

Nevertheless, Müller did not hide his sadness. He spoke only about the defeat after the match when asked to reflect on his career at Bayern. "I'm really not in the right frame of mind to share my feelings about my career. We lost a very important match for us, maybe we deserved more, but sometimes football is decided on a 50/50 and this time we lost. I'm very disappointed, thank you." he said.

One thing is certain: Müller is expected to bid a more formal farewell in the coming days.
