"Time to Say Goodbye": Kevin De Bruyne Bids Emotional Farewell to Manchester City Fans

Kevin De Bruyne's officially announced his departure from Manchester City at the end of the current season marking the end of historic decade.

In heartfelt message shared on Instagram this Friday, the Belgian midfield maestro revealed that his time with the english champions is coming to a close.

“Let me get straight to the point, I’m living my final months as a Manchester City player” De Bruyne began.

The 33 year old admitted the decision wasn’t easy but inevitable:

“As footballers, we all know this day will come eventually and it’s time now. You deserve to hear it from me first”

Reflecting on his journey, De Bruyne expressed deep gratitude to the club and fans:

“Football brought me here, to this city, to this club. I was chasing dream not knowing that this chapter would change my life”

During his 10 year stint with City, De Bruyne won every possible title and became club legend.

“We’ve won everything. Whether we like it or not, it’s time to say goodbye, Manchester will forever be in our passports and more importantly in our hearts” he added.

De Bruyne concluded with touching tribute:

“We can’t thank the club, the staff, teammates, friends and family enough. It’s been 10 incredible years. Every story has an end but this one was truly special”

The Belgian star joined Manchester City in 2015 from German side Wolfsburg. Since then, he has been central figure in the club’s golden era under Pep Guardiola.
