Transfer: Al Ahly reveals its plan for Ben Romdhane, Ben Cherki and El Amri
According to several Egyptian media outlets, Al Ahly’s management is keen to keep the trio of Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Achraf Ben Cherki, and Youssef El Amri for next season, despite persistent rumors suggesting that some players might leave during the summer transfer window.
What future awaits Ben Romdhane, Ben Cherki and Al-Omari at Al Ahly?
According to a source close to the Cairo club, Al Ahly’s management is satisfied with the performances delivered by the three players since their arrival and intends to keep them in the squad.
The same source, however, indicated that the club could consider letting Tunisian international Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane leave if an attractive offer comes in and the player himself expresses a desire to take on a new challenge.
A source close to Al Ahly told the “FilGoal” website:
“We want to keep Ben Romdhane. It has been decided that he will continue his journey alongside Achraf Ben Cherki and Youssef Al-Omari next season. However, if the player wishes to leave the club and a satisfactory offer is received, we will not stand in his way.”
Having joined Al Ahly at the start of the season from Hungarian side Ferencvárosi TC, Ben Romdhane has played 36 matches in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
Al Ahly will compete in the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup after finishing third in the Egyptian league.
