Transfer market: Chelsea joins the race for Guéla Doué

The Blues of Chelsea are determined to derail the likely transfer of Guéla Doué to AC Milan.

Guéla Doué, brother of Désiré Doué, is eager to join Massimiliano Allegri’s AC Milan. The Serie A club is indeed highly interested in the Ivorian player. However, they are not alone in the chase.

Although the Ivorian international seems close to AC Milan, the Blues are looking to hijack the move. Chelsea’s owner, who also owns Strasbourg, is reportedly pushing to bring the player to London and prevent his departure to Lombardy.

Strong defensively and quick on his feet, Guéla Doué boasts a unique profile. AC Milan has reportedly already tabled an initial offer of €15 million to secure his services, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a second bid is in the works.
