Transfer market: Leipzig sets Yan Diomande's price

The Yan Diomande saga takes on a new dimension in the transfer market. RB Leipzig is now demanding more than €100 million to consider the departure of their Ivorian winger, whose value keeps skyrocketing.

Having arrived last summer from CD Leganés for around €20 million, Diomande has seen his market value soar dramatically. Internally, the German club's management believes his price has more than quintupled, driven by his performances and offensive impact.

The club's sporting situation also plays a crucial role. With a Champions League qualification now highly likely, Leipzig is no longer under financial pressure to sell, strengthening their negotiating position.

An extension to secure the future

Aware of the growing interest in their player, Leipzig’s management is simultaneously working on a contract extension. The goal: to secure the Ivorian international until 2027, including a significant salary increase.

This sends a strong message to potential suitors, although the club remains open to a sale should an exceptional offer come in.

PSG and Liverpool on alert

Among the most interested clubs, Paris Saint-Germain has already made its move. The French champions have held a meeting with the player’s representatives, demonstrating their concrete interest.

But the competition is fierce. Liverpool FC is also closely monitoring the situation and reportedly considers Diomande a priority to prepare for Mohamed Salah’s eventual departure.

An open door... with conditions

While Leipzig makes it clear they want to keep their prized asset for at least another season, the club is not ruling out a transfer. The only condition: receiving an offer that meets their lofty demands.

The Yan Diomande transfer saga is far from over and could be one of the main storylines of the upcoming summer window.
