Transfer window – FC Barcelona: Raphinha set to extend until 2028!

Brazilian international Raphinha, the FC Barcelona winger, has made a decisive call about his future with the Catalan giants, putting an end to ongoing rumors about a possible departure in the summer of 2027.

Club president Joan Laporta and the Barcelona board had offered him a one-year contract extension. After some deliberation, the player has now agreed to extend his deal until 2028.

Deal sealed despite a staggering offer from Al-Hilal

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, all terms of the new contract have been finalized. Raphinha has chosen to continue his adventure with the Blaugrana, turning down a massive offer from Saudi Arabia.

Multiple sources report that Al-Hilal put forward a four-year deal with a salary of €50 million per year, along with a €100 million transfer bid to Barcelona for his signature. Ultimately, Raphinha rejected the proposal, opting for continuity at Camp Nou.

Since arriving in the summer of 2022 from Leeds United, Raphinha has quickly established himself as an undisputed starter. This season, he featured in 56 matches across all competitions, netting 34 goals and providing 25 assists.
