Transfer window: Guéla Doué catches the eye in Italy
Guéla Doué

Guéla Doué has landed on AC Milan’s radar this summer. The Italian club is closely monitoring the young Strasbourg midfielder. The elder brother of Désiré Doué could soon get his first taste of Italian football and tackle a new challenge.

His versatility and this season’s performances in France have apparently won over Milan’s technical staff. Signed by RC Strasbourg in the summer of 2024 for around €6.5 million, the 22-year-old defender has proven his worth and made a real impact on the Alsatian club’s results. Starting 30 out of 32 Ligue 1 matches, Guéla Doué has scored once, provided two assists and, most notably, contributed to eight clean sheets.

An ambitious project in Serie A

AC Milan, under the guidance of new sporting director Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri, is looking to strengthen its right flank. The club is targeting a more defensively solid full-back and is seriously considering Guéla Doué. Moving from Ligue 1 to Serie A would provide the perfect environment for growth, new challenges, and valuable experience.

Aware of the value of its young talent—under contract until 2029—Strasbourg is not willing to let Doué go cheaply. The club values him at €18–20 million, according to Transfermarkt. Milan will therefore need to activate their financial levers to make the deal a reality.
