Transfer window: Lazio sets Boulaye Dia's price
Already on his way out? Barely after the purchase option was triggered, Boulaye Dia could be leaving Lazio this summer.
The Roman club, which spent €11.3 million to Salernitana, is now waiting for offers to let the 29-year-old Senegalese striker go.
Lazio awaits concrete offers
The Biancocelesti management won't hold back the Senegalese forward if a serious offer comes in. According to Il Messaggero, they are expecting at least €15 million before agreeing to part ways with Boulaye Dia. Under contract with Lazio, Dia still has a strong market value.
France remains a credible destination. His stint at Stade de Reims between 2018 and 2021 left him with an excellent reputation in Ligue 1, notably thanks to his 14 goals in 2021.
A lackluster season
Boulaye Dia played 30 matches last season in Lazio colors. In 27 Serie A appearances, the 29-year-old Senegalese striker managed just a single goal and two assists. This underwhelming performance cost him a spot at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and then at the World Cup in the United States. A potential move could give him a fresh start.
