Wilfried Singo could be on the verge of a new chapter in his career. According to multiple sources, Atlético Madrid has set its sights on the AS Monaco right-back and is considering a bid estimated at €25 million to bring him in as early as this summer.

Arriving in the Principality in the summer of 2023, the 24-year-old Ivorian international quickly established himself as a key figure in Monaco’s defense thanks to his versatility. In his very first campaign at Monaco, he started 24 out of 25 matches. Despite some inconsistency this season due to injury setbacks, Singo still made 33 appearances across all competitions, tallying 3 goals and 3 assists. His performances have turned more than a few heads.

Atlético Madrid is looking to bolster its defense for the 2025-2026 season and sees Singo as the perfect fit. Alongside Spanish interest, several Italian clubs—including Napoli and Fiorentina—are also monitoring the situation of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations champion with Côte d’Ivoire. On Monaco’s side, the club remains cautious but open to discussions. The Principality side would not be opposed to a departure if a suitable offer comes in. Monaco is holding out for more than €20 million to let their defender go—a figure Atlético appears willing to put on the table to secure his services.
