Transfer window: Young Moroccan midfielder officially joins Hull City!
Renowned French journalist Santi Aouna revealed via his X account that young Moroccan talent Reda Laalaoui has officially signed a contract with Hull City, a club competing in the Championship (the English second division). The deal runs until the summer of 2030.
The 20-year-old midfielder from FUS Rabat himself fueled speculation about his departure by posting a photo from England on his official Instagram account this Sunday.
Moroccan media had reported in recent weeks that advanced negotiations were underway between Hull City and the Moroccan club, before the deal was eventually finalized.
Reda Laalaoui, the FUS prodigy, heads to the Championship!
Reda Alaoui's impressive rise with Morocco's U20 national team during the last Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt played a pivotal role in his move to European football. The Atlas Cubs reached the final, before narrowly losing to South Africa (1-0).
At club level, Alaoui made 25 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists. He stood out for his consistency and football intelligence in midfield.
A product of the FUS Rabat academy, Alaoui follows in the footsteps of other homegrown gems, such as Nayef Aguerd, now a defender at Real Sociedad on loan from West Ham United.
