Tunisia: Mouine Chaâbani's impressive trophy haul as new Eagles head coach

Chosen to succeed Hervé Renard, Mouine Chaâbani already boasts one of the most impressive track records in African football.

Tunisia has entrusted its rebuilding process to a coach well-accustomed to reaching the top. At 45, Mouine Chaâbani has built a remarkable résumé, primarily from his time on the benches of Espérance de Tunis and RS Berkane.

With the Blood and Gold, the tactician notably captured back-to-back CAF Champions League titles in 2018 and 2019. His record also includes five Tunisian league championships and two national Super Cups. The CAF has highlighted his extensive experience on the continental stage.

Chaâbani also left his mark in Morocco, guiding Berkane to their first ever national championship in 2025, before clinching the Confederation Cup that same year. It's an especially robust CV as he opens a new chapter with the Carthage Eagles.
