Azzedine Ounahi could be one of the hot names on the Spanish transfer market this summer. The Moroccan midfielder, currently under contract with Girona, is drawing attention from two La Liga clubs.

According to several sources, Atlético Madrid is closely monitoring the 26-year-old, who had a solid season with Girona. The Madrid club is looking to bolster its midfield with a technical and mobile profile. Meanwhile, Villarreal is also highly interested and is reportedly the most active club in the race. The "Yellow Submarine" management has already started discussions to assess the feasibility of a deal.

Relegated to the second division with Girona, Ounahi could leave the club despite having a release clause set at 20 million euros. However, Girona's sporting situation could force the club to accept a lower fee. A Moroccan international, Ounahi remains a sought-after player on the European market, boasting 50 caps and considerable international experience.
