Two new rising stars join the Benin Amazons in Morocco
The Benin women's national team welcomes two promising new faces. Currently in camp in Rabat, Morocco, the Amazons have added two young talents playing in Germany to their squad.
Meet Sadikou Nailatou and Yarou Dokotoro. At just 18 years old, Sadikou Nailatou plays as a right-back for SC Freiburg. Her call-up marks her very first appearance with the senior women's team.
Another great find is Yarou Dokotoro, a 17-year-old central defender. She plays for FC Germania Ginnheim/SC Zellhausen, also in Germany. Young but already very mature on the pitch, she represents a promising option to strengthen the Amazons' defensive line.
These two new internationals are discovering the national team setup as both the U20 and senior squads are in training camp in Morocco. The Beninese U20s will play a two-legged tie against Morocco's U20 team. As for the seniors, they face two high-level tests against Ghana and South Africa.
This training camp is an opportunity for the coaching staff to fine-tune tactics, test new players, and prepare as best as possible for upcoming competitions. The integration of diaspora talent also highlights the Federation's commitment to strengthening the squad with internationally competitive profiles.
