As part of its intensive preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States in the coming days, Wydad Casablanca continues to strengthen its squad to be ready for this global challenge under its new format.

Wydad means business: Al Somah and Ferreira, two heavyweight reinforcements incoming!

According to the Moroccan daily “Al Mountakhab,” Wydad’s management has reached an agreement with several talented players, most notably the experienced Syrian striker Omar Al Somah, who is currently a free agent after leaving Al-Orouba in Saudi Arabia.

The Moroccan club has also finalized the signing of Brazilian defender Guilherme Ferreira, who joins on the recommendation of head coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem.

However, the official announcement regarding these two signings is still pending, as the last administrative formalities are being completed—keeping Wydad fans eagerly awaiting formal confirmation.

Wydad is aiming to deliver a strong performance in this prestigious competition, living up to its storied history and reputation on the continental stage.

It’s worth noting that the Wydad delegation recently arrived in the United States. The team will play a friendly against a Canadian club as a warm-up ahead of their blockbuster clash with Manchester City, scheduled for June 18 as part of the FIFA Club World Cup.
