What an epic journey! In a legendary clash at the Giuseppe Meazza, Inter Milan triumphed over FC Barcelona (4-3 after extra time) on Tuesday in the second leg of the semi-final, booking their ticket to the final after a 3-3 draw in the first leg.

The match kicked off with high intensity but few clear chances. It took a misplaced pass from Olmo and a perfect assist from Dumfries for Martinez to break the deadlock (1-0, 21'). Then, just before halftime, Çalhanoglu doubled the lead from the penalty spot after Cubarsi's foul (2-0, 45').

In the second half, Barça responded fiercely. Garcia reignited hope with a brilliant volley (2-1), before Olmo headed in the equalizer (2-2, 60'). Spurred on by an inspired Yamal, the Catalans seized the lead through Raphinha (2-3, 88'). But Inter snatched extra time thanks to Acerbi (3-3, 90+3')!

Both sides, exhausted, hung on. Ultimately, Frattesi pounced after great work from Thuram and a pass from Taremi to send San Siro into raptures (4-3, 99').

Despite the efforts of Yamal and a save from Szczesny, Barcelona could not find a way back.

Inspired by a heroic Sommer, Inter will contest the Champions League final, dreaming of a fourth crown after 1964, 1965, and 2010!
