Nicolas Jackson found the net twice in Stockholm on Thursday, May 1, 2025, powering the Blues to a commanding 4-1 victory over Djurgårdens IF in the UEFA Conference League semi-final. This outstanding performance takes the Senegalese striker’s tally to 14 goals across all competitions this season.

Chelsea left no room for doubt on Swedish soil. Before Jackson’s introduction, the Blues had already seized control with goals from Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke, both set up by Enzo Fernández. Chelsea dominated the match from start to finish.

Nicolas Jackson: Chelsea’s game-changing super-sub

After the break, Djurgårdens tried to mount a response, but the game shifted decisively with Nicolas Jackson’s arrival. Starting on the bench, the Senegalese striker injected new energy into Chelsea’s attack. In the 59th minute, he capitalized on a defensive error to slot the ball home.

Six minutes later, Nicolas Jackson completed a stunning brace, smashing a powerful shot under the bar and virtually sealing the outcome.

Djurgårdens restored some pride with Isak Alemayehu Mulugeta’s diving header in the 68th minute, but Chelsea managed the closing stages with composure. This emphatic away win puts Chelsea firmly in the driving seat ahead of the return leg at Stamford Bridge on May 8. Nicolas Jackson, who also scored last weekend in the Premier League, is clearly back in top form.
