UEFA LdC: PSG surprise Arsenal at the Emirates!

Paris Saint-Germain have struck hard! The club from the French capital got their UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg off to the perfect start with a heroic 0-1 victory over Arsenal in London on Tuesday evening.

Very enterprising from the outset, the Parisians quickly found the opening: in the 4th minute, Kvaratskhelia crossed back for Dembélé, who finished with a cross-shot helped by the post.

It was the perfect start for the French outfit, who then applied constant pressure. Caught by the throat, the Gunners were unable to develop their game and succumbed to the Parisian onslaught.

Arsenal try to react, Paris solid until the end

Kvaratskhelia could have been awarded a penalty for contact with Timber, but neither the referee nor VAR reacted.

Gradually, Arsenal regained their composure, but failed to capitalize. Donnarumma made two decisive saves, notably from Martinelli and Trossard, while Merino had a goal ruled out for offside.

Less dominant in the second half, Paris held firm. Despite a few cold sweats, Marquinhos' team-mates held firm.

On the counter-attack, Barcola and Ramos even came close to breaking the deadlock. Thanks to a rigorous defense and an impeccable Donnarumma, PSG left London with a precious advantage.
