Victor Osimhen surpasses his personal record

Loaned from Napoli to Galatasaray, Victor Osimhen broke a personal record this weekend. Against Sivasspor, the Nigerian striker netted a brace, bringing his total to 33 goals across all competitions. This marks a new personal best, surpassing the 31 goals he scored during the 2022/23 season with the Italian club.

On top of these already impressive stats, he has delivered 8 assists. Still under contract with Napoli until 2026, the 26-year-old center forward has never looked more fulfilled. In a lengthy interview with the club media, he described this achievement as unforgettable:

This season will remain etched in my memory. Beyond the goals and assists, I love helping the team. I want to get on the ball in the future, help the midfield, and give my best for the team. For me, the team always comes first. When I convert my chances into goals, I’m happy. What matters most isn’t Victor Osimhen, but the team.
