Hamdy scores, Egypt dominate group A

Left back Mohamed Hamdy netted his first international goal in the 10 minute heading home perfect cross from Ahmed Nabil Koka.

Forward Mostafa Mohamed came close to doubling the lead but saw his header bounce off the crossbar late in the 1st half.

Egypt finished their qualifying campaign unbeaten topping Group A with 26 point from 8 win and 2 draw (5 point clear of Burkina Faso who move to the playoffs).

A 4th World cup for the Pharaohs
