Derrick Köhn (26) has made quite an impression this season wearing the Werder Bremen colors. On loan from Galatasaray, the Ghanaian left-back has established himself as a reliable asset in the system, racking up 33 appearances, 2 goals, and 2 assists.

Impressed by his consistency, the German club’s management now wants to keep him beyond his loan, which expires in June. According to information from Ekrem Konur, Werder has opened talks for a permanent transfer.

Galatasaray, who own the player until 2026, are demanding €5.125 million, the amount of his release clause. Bremen consider the price too steep and are hoping to negotiate it down, aiming for a deal at around half that figure.
