West Ham sets Mohammed Kudus' release clause
The summer transfer window is already looking to be a busy one for West Ham United. Mohammed Kudus, who joined in 2023 for 38 million euros, could leave the London club as early as this summer. The English club seems ready to let the Ghanaian forward go.
Under contract with the Hammers until 2028, Kudus has become a key player in the London squad since his arrival from Ajax Amsterdam. Last season, he scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists with the English club. This has caught the attention of several European and international teams. In the Premier League, clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham are closely monitoring his situation.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr, who had already attempted to sign him last summer, is back in the race. For several weeks, rumors have been intensifying about a massive offer from the Saudi Pro League. Al Nassr, already boasting stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané, is preparing an 84 million euro bid for the 24-year-old Ghanaian.
While the London management is still holding firm, they are aware that rejecting such an offer would be difficult, especially since Kudus hasn't always been decisive this season (3 goals and 1 assist in 24 Premier League matches). Faced with pressure and economic challenges, West Ham is unlikely to hesitate in selling their player this summer.
According to sources close to the matter, the Hammers have even set a release clause of around 85 million pounds (approximately 100 million euros). A sum well within reach for the Saudi club Al Nassr.
