On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Al-Difaâ Al-Jawi Stadium in Cairo will host a decisive showdown between Egypt's Pyramids FC and South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns for the second leg of the CAF Champions League final, 2024/2025 season.
This clash follows the first leg in South Africa, which ended in a dramatic 1-1 draw, ramping up the tension and giving a slight edge to the Egyptian side, who will play this crucial encounter at home in front of their passionate supporters.
CAF Champions League: What time and on which channel to watch the second leg of the final?
The match kicks off at 17:00 GMT, with Somali referee Omar Abdulkader Artan in charge. He will be assisted by an international officiating crew featuring Gilbert Sherwitt and Stéphane Oniang’o from Kenya, with Luis Digenido from Benin as the fourth official. VAR (video assistant referee) will be under the supervision of Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema.
Pyramids FC, managed by Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurcic, are aiming to clinch the prestigious African trophy for the very first time, relying on the quality of their squad, which includes key players like Ibrahim Adel and Fiston Mayele.
On the other hand, Mamelodi Sundowns are determined to add to their continental trophy cabinet with another title, having previously lifted the trophy in 2016, and after knocking out Egypt’s Al Ahly in the semi-finals.
