Yesterday, Sunday, Espérance Sportive de Tunis clinched their 34th Tunisian league title after a commanding 5-0 victory away to Olympique de Béja on Matchday 29.
The Blood and Gold wasted no time breaking the deadlock, with Brazilian striker Yan Sasse finding the net as early as the 7th minute and doubling his tally in the 43rd.
After the break, EST continued their onslaught with three more goals: Youssef Belaili made it 3-0 in the 57th minute, Hossem Tka struck in the 68th, and finally Elias Mokwana added the fifth in the 78th minute.
This emphatic win secured the "red and gold" their title with a game to spare, finishing top of the table on 65 points after their main rivals, Union Sportive Monastirienne, were held to a 1-1 draw by Étoile du Métlaoui.
Espérance de Tunis crowned for the 34th time
With this triumph, Espérance further cements its place as the most successful club in Tunisian league history, bringing their total to 34 titles—21 more than their closest rival, Club Africain, who have 13 league championships.
