According to reports, Mamelodi Sundowns want to offload one of their current midfielders to make room for the players they want to sign.

Mamelodi Sundowns had initially loaned out midfielder Sipho Mbule to Sekhukhune United for the season, but his time there has been cut short following reports of misconduct. The 27-year-old, who made 18 appearances (scoring twice and assisting three times), has now been released by Sekhukhune due to alleged behavioral concerns.

This isn’t the first time Mbule has faced disciplinary action. During the 2022/23 season, Sundowns suspended him after he arrived at training under the influence of alcohol. Now, with his loan spell abruptly ending, his future at Chloorkop appears uncertain.

According to Soccer Laduma, Sundowns are evaluating several expiring contracts, and Mbule may not be retained. Sources suggest Sekhukhune opted to part ways with him after another reported breach of conduct, despite resolving a previous conflict with a staff member earlier in the season.
