According to Italian press reports, Atalanta Bergamo's upcoming match against Parma could be Super Eagles striker Lookman's last game for the club. The now 27-year-old has endured a torrid time of loan spells and inconsistent performances before arriving at Atalanta in 2022.

Since arriving in Italy, the Nigerian international's career has taken a turn for the better, helping the club win the Europa League last season and helping his side reach the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, earning him the CAF Player of the Year Award.

Clubs that have been associated with the Nigerian: Back in the Premier League!

Ademola Lookman could be set for a return to England, with several top Premier League clubs reportedly interested in the Nigerian winger. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and West Ham United have all expressed interest in the former Everton player, who now appears to be on his way out of Atalanta.

Lookman’s current contract with the Italian club runs until June 2026, but a renewal is off the table following a falling-out with manager Gian Piero Gasperini. The dispute reportedly stemmed from a missed penalty in Atalanta’s Champions League exit against Club Brugge, souring the relationship between player and coach.

According to Football Italia, both Lookman and teammate Ederson José dos Santos are expected to make their final appearances for Atalanta this Sunday. The club is looking to cash in on the duo this summer, aiming to generate close to €100 million from their sales. Atalanta is reportedly open to offers, valuing Lookman at around €40 million and Ederson at no less than €50 million.

How Atalanta will compensate for the Nigerian's departure!

In the midst of much talk about the Nigerian's future and his possible departure from Serie A, Italian press sources have revealed that Atalanta Bergamo want to sign a new striker to replace the Nigerian should he leave.
According to the reports, the club wants to sign Lyon's Rayan Cherki, Feyenoord's Igor Paixao and even Celtic's Arne Engels.
