After the men's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), Morocco will play host to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026).

This new edition will feature 16 nations, including Ghana, who will be eager to finally break their title drought—though the task will be far from easy against the likes of Morocco and Nigeria.

The Black Queens will make their 12th appearance at the Women's AFCON, following previous participations in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2024.
