Egypt’s November plans confirmed with new UAE Tournament challenge

Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has confirmed the team’s November friendly programme as the Pharaohs ramp up preparations for both the 2026 FIFA World Cup & the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Egyptian national team will hold training camp in the UAE participating in 4 team invitational tournament featuring Uzbekistan, Cape Verde and Iran.

A source within the national setup told "Kooora" that Senegal had initially been included in the competition but withdrew after scheduling high profile friendly against Brazil paving the way for Cape Verde’s invitation.

Egypt’s UAE schedule

  • 14 November: Egypt vs Uzbekistan
  • Semifinal 2: Iran vs Cape Verde
  • Winners will meet in the final while the losing teams will play for 3rd place.

AFCON preparations & December plans

In addition to the UAE tournament, Egypt will host Nigeria in high profile friendly on 14 December at Cairo International Stadium, just before heading to Morocco for AFCON 2025 (21 December – 18 January).
