World Cup 2026: FIFA launches a paid offer for fans

Just days before the kick-off of the 2026 World Cup, FIFA has unveiled a new commercial initiative aimed at fans. For $79, supporters can submit their name, a photo, or a message to be displayed on the stadiums' giant screens.

The service, called "Super Shoutout," requires requests to be submitted at least 72 hours before the selected match. However, FIFA notes that there is no guarantee regarding the broadcast time, the duration of the display, or even the visibility of the content.

The global governing body also reserves the right to modify or reject certain submissions. Messages of a political, discriminatory, offensive, or advertising nature will be systematically excluded. While this initiative aims to enhance the fan experience, some observers already see it as FIFA's latest strategy to monetize the world's most prestigious football tournament.
