The 7th matchday of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Africa kicks off with an uneven showdown between Seychelles and Gabon.
For this clash scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 1 p.m. GMT, Gabon head coach Thierry Mouyouma will have to do without his star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is sidelined with a knee injury sustained while playing for Olympique de Marseille.

The Gabonese are hoping to have their iconic player back for the high-stakes clash against Ivory Coast on September 9 in Franceville.

Shavy Babicka, who is also injured, along with Nze Samake and Jim Allevinah, will also miss the match, but there is hope they could return for the crucial battle against the Elephants.
Gabon is under pressure, sitting second in Group F. They absolutely must win both of their September fixtures to seize the top spot in the group standings.
