Algeria will face off against Botswana on Friday in a match counting for the 5th day of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

This exciting Group G clash will take place at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.

Vladimir Petkovic, the coach of the Fennecs, will have to assemble his starting eleven in the absence of several key players, notably Mohamed Amine Tougai, Ismaël Bennacer, and Houssam Aouar, all sidelined due to injury.

This is a highly challenging situation, especially since Algeria must win to keep their hopes alive in the race for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

As a reminder, the North African team is leading their group alongside Mozambique, thanks to a haul of 9 points.
