Yaël Mouanga signs professional contract with Montpellier

Yaël Mouanga has signed his first professional contract with Montpellier. The young defender, originally from Congo (Brazzaville), continues his impressive development after a successful debut season in the top flight.

Arriving in 2023 from Bordeaux, where he was forced to leave due to the club's financial struggles, Yaël Mouanga quickly settled in. He made 14 appearances for Montpellier's first team in Ligue 1 this season.

The club has not yet revealed the length of the contract, but this signing clearly demonstrates their faith in the young player. Partly developed at Bordeaux, Yaël Mouanga is regarded as a promising prospect for Montpellier's back line.
