Yvan Neyou officially leaves Leganés

It’s the end of an era in Spain for Yvan Neyou. The Cameroonian defensive midfielder will not extend his contract with Leganés, which was set to expire this June 2025.

Having joined from Saint-Étienne in 2022, Yvan Neyou spent two full seasons with the Pepineros. In his final campaign, he featured in 33 matches, scoring once and providing an assist. Reliable, combative, and praised for his reading of the game, the 28-year-old played a key role in solidifying Leganés’ midfield.

But after two years together, both parties have decided not to continue the journey. This decision paves the way for a new chapter for the Cameroonian international, whose profile has already attracted interest from several clubs, notably in Ligue 1 and Turkey.
