Zamalek in Turmoil: Awad Referred to Legal Committee Amid Team Disciplinary Issues


Tension continues to rise at Zamalek SC following their dramatic 2 - 2 draw against Ceramica Cleopatra in the 5th round of the Egyptian Premier League's Championship Stage.
New Player Faces Investigation
After star winger Ahmed Mostafa Zizo was summoned for questioning due to his extended absence from training amid reports of signing with Al Ahly, goalkeeper Mohamed Awad's now also been referred to the club's legal committee.
Zamalek's Football Director Wael El Quabbani, in coordination with head coach Ayman El Ramadi announced the decision stating that Awad’s case will be handled according to the club’s regulations.
Official Warning for Mohamed Sobhi
Meanwhile fellow goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi received official warning for his reaction during the same match. The club clarified that Sobhi had expressed frustration over injury and insisted he meant no disrespect to Zamalek.
The club released statement stressing the importance of discipline declaring that any player stepping out of line would face consequences to maintain professionalism in the squad.
