Zamalek: José Gómez could make a sensational comeback
Portuguese coach José Gómez could be set for a sensational return to Zamalek starting from the 2024-2025 season.

After a rather average stint in Saudi Arabia with Al-Fateh, the former Maritimo boss has come under heavy criticism following a historic thrashing at the hands of Al Hilal, who routed his side 9-0 in a match from the 15th round of the Saudi Pro League.
According to Egyptian media, José Gómez is currently in negotiations with the Cairo club about taking charge of the first team once again.

For the record, the Portuguese tactician previously enjoyed a highly successful spell at Zamalek in 2024. Out of 45 matches, he recorded 25 wins, 9 draws, and 11 defeats.
He was the architect behind Zamalek's resurgence on the continental stage, leading them to the CAF Confederation Cup and African Super Cup titles.
